A SCARCE CASED BOWIE-KNIFE, serial no. 1031,
circa 1970, with polished 6in. blade false edged for half its length, the left hand side etched 'HOLLAND & HOLLAND', the right side serial numbered at forte, nickel-silver boat-shaped cross-guard, rosewood smooth scales held by three brass pins and bored through with lanyard hole, in its maker's green baize lined black leatherette presentation box with gold-blocked leather trade-label inside lid, not supplied with a scabbard
